Meet Dr. Blankenship
Dr. Bryan M. Blankenship was born in Shattuck and raised in Oklahoma City. He enlisted in the Oklahoma Army National Guard in 2002 and earned the rank of Sergeant while serving two tours in Iraq. When he was in Baghdad, he volunteered in a military dental clinic, where he witnessed the many ways dental care can change lives, which furthered his passion for the profession.
After returning home from Iraq, he earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2010 and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry in 2016. While in dental school, he received the Clinical Operations Award, the Outstanding Patient Care Award, the Outstanding Student Leader Award, and an Oklahoma Dental Association academic scholarship. He also served as president for the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association.
After his graduation from dental school, Dr. Blankenship completed a one-year residency in advanced education in general dentistry at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. During this residency, he received advanced training in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and a wide range of other dental services. He is currently honored to serve as a board member for the Oklahoma Dental Foundation and serve his community by volunteering at King’s Clinic in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Blankenship is married to Christy, a dental hygienist, and they have a daughter, Bailey and a son, Beau. In Dr. Blankenship’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, serving on dental mission trips, watching the OKC Thunder, traveling, and fishing.
“It is an honor to serve my community in this great profession. I look forward to answering any questions and taking care of your dental needs.” — Dr. Bryan Blankenship
